Hi! I'm Dr. Easter Yassa, but you can call me Easter.
I am a Registered Psychologist (#3932) with the College of Alberta Psychologists and I currently practice in Calgary. I bring 13 years of professional counselling experience, have completed a Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology at the University of Alberta -- which is one of only four such programs accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) -- and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology with the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, IL.
I have completed additional training in Compassion Fatigue with the Traumatology Institute in Toronto, ON and am a Certified Compassion Fatigue Specialist via the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology in Minnesota, US. In addition to my clinical work, I have taught courses in Psychology and Educational Psychology at both Grant MacEwan University and the University of Alberta, respectively, and co-facilitated seminars in Patient-Centred Care at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Medicine.
I've had extensive training in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including
