MEET DR. EASTER
A highly trained psychologist, a deep listener, a fellow traveller
I am a Registered Psychologist (#3932) located in Alberta and serving women across Alberta, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, and Nunavut. I bring over 20 years of counselling experience and over a decade of post-graduate psychology focused training. My practice is focused on providing online therapy services to individual adult (18+) and senior women. I also specialize in supporting psychologists and therapists in their own growth and healing. In my practice I am committed to providing an ethical, caring, emotionally safe (and occasionally humorous!) space for you to explore what’s troubling you and work towards your goals.

My Approach
I believe you are not merely a list of symptoms, whatever they may be. My approach to therapy is about seeing you as a whole person.
You are more than the sum of your troubles. You have strengths, challenges, underdeveloped parts, overdeveloped parts, healthy parts, a unique story, a past, a journey you are navigating and, most importantly, a path into a future that you are shaping either consciously or unconsciously. You are complex, layered and whole.
My overall approach to therapy is about creating and holding a space to explore all the parts of you and all the things you find hard to say, but yearn to express.

The therapy approaches I use most can be found below and reflect my belief that therapy can be a safe space for you to heal, recover, and to know yourself in ways that you may not have fully known yourself before. Therapy is a space to dive deep into what moves you, what matters to you, and reconnect to the real you. It is a space to move toward a life of your conscious choosing.

Using a state of deep relaxation and an indirect approach to suggestion that involves metaphors, symbols, and contradictions to access the healing and reprocessing power of your unconscious.

Using bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping, to work through negative and/or upsetting memories, feelings, and thoughts until they’re not disturbing and you can let them go.
